Dear Diary,
While serving in the Macedonian army I had the privilege to fight for Alexander the Great. I admire the fact that, even though he didn't die on the battle field, he he died for his country and, in a sense, for his father. The cause of his death was due to his numerous bullet wounds resulting in a fetal fever. In my opinion he was considered great because of his drive to live out his fathers dream. Even though King Philip II, his father, started this "project" Alexander is the one who made the Macedonian empire what it is today. Sometimes someone does something "great" and we talk about them for a little while and often times we end up forgetting them but, unlike most people, we still remember Alexander today. Even though the cultures started to blend as we conquered new cities and empires, things got really interesting after Alexander died.
The blending of cultures can be a good and a bad thing. I feel like it was good because it helped people from other cultures expand their views and their ways of thinking. In my opinion it was also be a bad thing because the people who were from the original routes of the culture were against the blending of the cultures and stuck in their old ways. What I think doesn't matter though because everyone sees things differently.
George Washington is considered great because without him the United States would not be what it is today. He he helped to lead the U.S. to the victory of the American Revolution. He was also the first president for the U.S. and helped to created the basis of the government. George Washington is one of the main reasons the United States exists today.
I will write again soon,
Abbie

I like this blog post because of all the pictures and facts! I also thought that the Hellenistic culture brought new ways of thinking towards the people of the Kingdom.
